2010 Blue and Gold Banquet

Jacob and Jonah ended up with Pinewood Derby car trophies again this year, they were thrilled. Jacob got one for Funniest Designed Car (for his Spongebob car) and Jonah got one for Most Creative Design (for his Wii controller.) They're so proud, they've already put them up by last years trophies and cars. I need to fix the cars from this year, Captain Destructo (starts with C and ends with OMG HE'S KILLING ME!) broke the wheels off of the Wii controller and snapped Spongebob's nose off. Here are some pics from the banquet:

Getting ready to do their skit in front of 100+ people:
Our cute little wolf cub den:

They did their own version of the American Idol "Pants on the Ground" song. In case you've been living under a rock for the last several months, here's a link to the actual song.
..............................
Our words were:
Wolves on the prowl, wolves on the prowl,
We are too cool we are wolves on the prowl.
Neckerchiefs on, beltloops blingin'
wooooo, we are singin'
Shake it up!
Talkin', walkin' like wolves with our hats on our brow.
Ah-ooooo we howl, ah-oooooo we howl.
.....................................
They were the hit of the banquet, the got the loudest applause of the night and they were all SOOO proud of themselves!!

Kids in motion

Or an alternate title might be "why not to let your two year old eat Cheetos on the trampoline" or "make sure you have enough space in your yard to place a trampoline NOT near a tree."

Doesn't it look like Jonah is holding the neighbor's carport up in this picture? Haha.
Not sure what's going on with this face, but I thought it deserved a spot in the post.
Flips galore:
How do you think this ended?
Yep.
This isn't looking good either, is it?
Ooooh, that's gonna leave a mark.

Mardi Gras 2010

I got two years out of these shirts, I doubt I'll get three. Please excuse Caleb's orange face. His cheeks were chapped plus he'd just had an orange push pop.

"WTF?! Why would somebody throw beads at my face?!"

"I'm alert now. Fool me once..."

"Hey mister! Throw me some beads!"

Just for fun, here are some pictures from years past. None from before Emmy because we weren't digital then and I'm too lazy to go dig through albums (and Rubbermaids.) I don't know if we went in 2004, I can't remember. I would have been big and fat, pregnant with Emmy. I couldn't find anything from 2005 either. It irritates me.

Who does he love?

Well, he loves Annie...

and Thomas...

and Henry...

Are there any trains that he doesn't love?

Nah, that would just be silly!

What would the world be without trains?
I'm pretty sure it would look something like this:

Thank goodness there isn't a lack of trains in this house so we don't have to find out. I'd hate to wake up to that lip everyday. Wouldn't you?

Emmy's paper

Sorry about the lack of posts, Basil has been working 15 hour days for about a month now and I'm just flat tired. I haven't taken my camera out in a week. Shocking, I know!
**********************
Emmy brought her paper home that hung on the brag board at school for a short while, I thought I'd share it. She wrote:

Somtims i go fiseg with my dad and my brodrs. i cets crabs. wen i go crabeg it is fun. somtims i cets a crab bot it lets go.
______________________________
Just in case you're having trouble, it translates to: Sometimes I go fishing with my Dad and my brothers. I catch crabs. When I go crabbing it is fun. Sometimes I catch a crab but it lets go.
..
She's so cute.
