Labor Day weekend - in cell phone pics.

The beach water was ROUGH when we drove in on Friday.

The wind was blowing the sand everywhere.

Caleb's after nap super spectacular bed head.

Jacob and Jonah's clay creations.

Explorin'

Trying to jump from one "island" to another.

"Take a picture of my big rock Mom!"

Right after this picture was taken Caleb lost his shoe in the nasty muck.

Jacob dug for it but the ground just swallowed it up, it's still there.

Caleb's treasure he found buried in the sand on the beach.

Eels Jacob and Jonah found and were releasing during an "eel search and rescue" operation.  They were everywhere along the beach.  G-R-O-S-S!

Then we had to stop so they could examine a big fish head.

Don't mess with a boy and his squirt cheese.

Whew, that was a busy but SUPER FUN three day weekend.  :)

First day of school 2011

First day of 4th and 2nd grade, very enthusiastically posing for pictures before school:

Em:

Jo:

Jake:

The next four pictures will be used to show the difference between 2nd grade girls and 4th grade boys.  Here you have Emmy:  "Yes Mom, I'd love for you to walk me to class.  Sure Mom, you can come in and take my picture.  Well of course Mom, you can have a kiss goodbye."

Next you have Jacob and Jonah: "Oh my God Mom.  Seriously?  I'm not even going to close the door.  STAY IN THE CAR!  Do not even walk me TO the school, much less IN it.  I can find things myself.  PUT THE CAMERA UP! DRIVE AWAY!"

"Just look at her Jacob, she won't go away until you look at her.  Then run."

That's pretty much it.  That's all I got.  They change schools and suddenly turn into grown men. What's up with that?!

On a positive note, they both say that they like the new school and their teachers.  Jonah says it's kind of busy because they change classes now, but I bet it makes the day go by fast.  Plus they have art class at this school.  They haven't been yet, but they're really looking forward to it.  Emmy likes school and she mostly always has positive things to say about it.  Next up is Caleb.  He starts mother's day out the day after Labor day.  I got him some new clothes so he can look pretty sitting in time out.  God help us.

Underwater camera beach pics

None that are actually underwater, but it takes nice out of the water pictures too.  I didn't take too many of these, the kids enjoy taking pictures with it too and since I don't have to worry when they drop it in the water, I let them have at it.  These are from the weekend that we went to Galveston.  The next post will probably be back to school related.  WHERE DID THE SUMMER GO?!!!

Caleb's first time crabbing. He didn't catch anything because he pulls the string back fast enough to rip a crab's claws off.  He had fun trying though.

Ew, dirty, gross.
