Last birthday post

Geez, I'm birthday-d out. We had the boys party today at the Pompano and had a really good turnout! Fifteen kids, plus ours. Going early always means that we have the pool to ourselves, so it was really nice. Hot, but nice.

I wish this picture had come out clear. Another kid blew Jonah's candle out and he had the cutest look on his face.

They each made out with tons of money. Since they couldn't give me any ideas for gifts this year, I had no idea what to tell people when they asked me what to get so most ended up putting cash in the cards. The boys were totally cool with that and we're taking them to Toys R Us this afternoon to pick something(s) out. I think it'll be interesting to see if they go for one or two big things, or lots of smaller things. I predict that Jacob will go for big, and Jonah for more smaller things. We shall see.

Born to be wild!

Jacob and Jonah got Razor electric motorcycles for their birthday. They go about 14 mph. They LOVE them. We brought them over to the pond yesterday and they rode and rode, there's plenty of room for them to let loose there.

Jonah was brave yesterday and rode over the ramp. Check it out, his front tire came off and everything. A real wheelie! Jacob didn't try, Jonah is much more willing to try new things.

Speaking of taking a walk (or ride or swim) on the wild side, they swam at the pond without life jackets for the first time yesterday. Once again, Jonah jumped in pretty much right away and it took Jacob a while to warm up to the idea. They're really good swimmers and they did fine.

Since this post is all about them, I thought I'd include a picture of them with their birthday cakes. Eight years old. Time sure flies!

Birthday boys!

Okay so I'm lame (and almost late) with Jacob and Jonah's birthday post. I was up way too late last night making cakes and decorating because I waited until the last minute which is unlike me. We went to Chuck E Cheese's this morning, they had a friend come over after that, Caleb choked on and then swallowed a marble, and we went to see Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs this afternoon. It's been a full day (and past two weeks) and I'm tired. I have tons of pictures that I love from the past 8 years and I want to go through them and put together a video of my favorites. I'll do that soon. Until then, these few will have to do.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY BIG BOYS! I love you SO much!!

Pictures

I put a bunch of vacation pictures up on Dropshots. Click here to see them. There are LOTS and it's MUCH faster to upload them there, it takes too long to put them on the blog.

It automatically splits them up into dates, according to when the pictures were taken with the most recent at the top. There a few sets, make sure to see them all!

Buh bye now

Florida beaches, here we come! We're leaving first thing in the morning. It's supposed to be an 8 hour trip but I'm sure it'll be longer since we'll have to stop a few times. If you could think good thoughts, specifically about Caleb's time in the car I'd appreciate it. ;) I've got plenty of stuff for the others to do, it's him that I'm worried about keeping entertained. I'm thinking that there's only so much Elmo, Wiggles and Baby Einstein he'll tolerate before he's telling me that he's "DUH!" (done) and starts screaming. Hopefully he'll sleep some but I'm not holding my breath because my kids have never been the best "car nappers" in the world.

<-------------- I'll be Tweeting about the trip purely for your entertainment. I'm sure you'll all be on the edge of your seats with anticipation. ;) You can click HERE to go to directly to my Twitter page as well. The latest Tweet shows up first so if you read something that doesn't make sense, scroll down some and read from the bottom up.

These are the "ONE DAY TILL FLORIDA" faces that I woke up to this morning:

How could I NOT be excited with those faces around?!
See ya in a week!!

I don't care who you are...

...this is just funny. Becca had this on her phone so I looked it up on youtube to share with all of you. I know you'll sleep better tonight because of it too.
If you don't want your children to hear some choice words plus the word "fart" several times, then wait till there not around to listen. ;)
