She sort of gets it

Last night, as Emmy and I were going to sleep (it was her "special" night to sleep with Mom - although most nights end up as Emmy's "special" night, but that's another post) she started chatting like she often does:

Em: We're lucky because we have a house. Some people don't have houses.

Me: That's right, some don't.

Em: And some people don't have toys. We're lucky to have toys.

Me: You sure are.

Em: God is magic and has magic powers.

Me: Uh.....

Em: Yeah, he lives on the biggest cloud and he can do whatever he wants.

Me: Oooookay.

Em: Some people don't have doors. And they don't have a roof or windows. They have to put a big ladder on the house and jump in. Then they have to wash their hands because they land on the floor and there are germs there. Why does God make germs? That's mean.

I gave the reply that I often give her when she asks questions like this: "ask your Daddy." He always thinks of something to tell her and whatever that is usually results in more questions.

She makes me tired. :)

Hehehe yes she seems to have the basic gist of it, right? :D I would love to hear some of Baz's answers to the hard questions!
