First snows here are always exciting for kids (and grown up kids). It gets tiresome for the grown-up kids rather quickly, though. We have had more snow since, but the temperatures aren't very cold and we are getting a blessed thaw. Nose hairs don't freeze until you get below -20'C depending on windchill, of course. So it has been rather nice. As long as there isn't snow on Halloween, all will be well.
